Alex-Tronix has manufactured quality commercial-grade controllers for over 30 years. From filter backwash to battery operated “Smart” controllers, we pride ourselves on manufacturing a reliable product made to hold up in extreme environments. Currently Alex-Tronix supplies over 60% of all the filter backwash controls through over 200 distributors and OEM’s located worldwide.

In 1998 George Alexanian, President of Alex-Tronix, decided to focus on his turf business and began developing innovative battery-operated controls. With a grant from the U.S. Department of Energy, he developed the first battery-operated controller recognized for energy efficiency, the BCS. With its 5 miles of valve operating distance and up to 10 years of battery life (tested at the Center for Irrigation Technology at California State University, Fresno) the BCS filled the gap in quality and reliability in a battery or solar powered field controller. In 2001 Alex-Tronix appointed Dominic A. Shows, as National Sales Manager, due to his background in marketing and finance.

In 2005 we developed the first “Smart” battery operated controllers in the irrigation industry. The Enercon Plus includes our patented temperature budgeting, four programs with four starts each, expandable 4 station outputs, and a stainless steel pedestal.

Our newest product, the Enercon JR will save you water, time, and money. The “Set It, Don’t Sweat It”® programming only requires your current date, time, and zip code. The Enercon JR utilizes our temperature budgeting technology that is far easier than ET and requires no service fees or expensive weather stations.
